Spicy Honey Baked Almonds (Candied Almonds)

These Spicy Honey Baked Almonds are not only perfect for cocktail hour but also a healthy snack. They have a tiny kick of spice plus a little sweetness crunch to them. Quick and easy recipe that's perfect for your next gathering or happy hour!


Ingredients:
  • 1 cups raw almonds
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar 
  • ¼ cup raw honey 
  • ¾ teaspoon cayenne pepper 
  • ¾ teaspoon salt 

Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325° F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with wax paper.
  • Combine the brown sugar and salt in a bowl large enough to accommodate the almonds and set aside. 
  • Melt the honey in a skillet over medium heat. Add the cayenne and the almonds and stir until all the nuts are coated with the honey and cayenne pepper. 
  • Spread the nuts in a single layer on the baking sheet and put in the oven for about 10 minutes. Let the almonds cool slightly and toss them in the sugar/salt mixture. Rip a new sheet of wax paper and place on the counter. Spread out the almonds on it again to let them cool. 
  • Toss them to a serving bowl and enjoy!
