5 pieces 4 ways

Since moving to Minneapolis I've been traveling much more than when I lived in Chicago. Sounds great, right? Well, I'm traveling for work a lot more...but due to a strict schedule this typically means I can't explore the area I am traveling too. On the other hand since this is the year of weddings (ahhh the beauty of getting older) I do get to enjoy traveling back to Chicago quite often.

Since I am on the road almost every week I have gotten pretty good at packing pieces that complement each other...meaning I try to pack clothes that create a number of outfits.

Here are 5 of my favorite items with pictures to show you how I wear them.

The Bad Waitress Diner works with local distributors to ensure freshness and high quality for their end-product. It is the perfect place to get some work done and enjoy a classic grilled cheese...basically a super trendy diner with super cool people. Naturally, I wore my hipster glasses and brought my leather camera bag to fit right in.

For the freshest ingredients here is a list of distributors they partner with...

BB Dakota Maxi Skirt

I love my BB Dakota Lithia maxi and spring time is the perfect time to show it off. I've always had issues finding maxi's that were long enough and this one fits just right. The material of the skirt is silky which makes it easy to dress it up or down...I dressed it down with a loose fitting H&M linen cut off but then jazzed up the outfit with bright lips and a colorful clutch.

J. Paul Getty Museum: Los Angeles, CA

For the past few days, my mother, sister, and I have been doing very touristy things in the Los Angeles area. One of the places we toured was the J. Paul Getty Museum - which was probably one of the most beautiful museums I've ever been to...check out the pictures below to get a sneak peak before you go see the museum for yourself.

"The J. Paul Getty Museum seeks to inspire curiosity about, and enjoyment and understanding of, the visual arts by collecting, conserving, exhibiting and interpreting works of art of outstanding quality and historical importance." - getty.edu
